With nearly two decades of experience in marketing and feature writing, Karen thrived in behind-the-scenes roles—crafting content for clients and pitching stories to the media.

 

But when her second child was born with a rare genetic condition, her path shifted. Karen stepped into the world of advocacy, using her voice and storytelling skills to speak up for her daughter—and for others who cannot advocate for themselves.

Karen is a board member of the A-Team of Delaware, a nonprofit organization that advocates for adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
